The fishing has been very good in the Pagosa Area last week. Usually we have spring run off at this time, but mother nature has put snow in the mountains, cutting the run-off, OFF. We might have a few more weeks of fishing locally before run-off gets real big.
Of course when that happens we can fish on the lower San Juan River (a tailwater) where the run-off does not affect the river. Lately the fishing there has been great. There is even an afternoon BWO hatch.
For any one wanting to chase Tarpon I still have dates open after May 17 – June 1st. Check out http://www.laidupcharters.com and visit the video page. That should make you want to book a trip.
Tight Lines & please leave a message if you call. I am very busy between Colorado and Florida this time of year.
Thanks,Scott Taylor
